Yanki Onen is the CEO and founder of Wamo, a digital business account provider and growth partner for SMEs.
Onen launched Wamo in 2021 after experiencing first-hand frustration at setting up a business account.
The startup’s target market is “underbanked” SMEs. In September last year, Wamo raised $1.5m (£1.2m) in a seed extension round, bringing the total amount raised by the firm to $6.8m.
Headquartered in London, with a significant presence in Malta, Wamo provides accounts for companies to make local and international payments with both a physical and digital card.
