Adi Hristova is the co-founder of Growyze, a stock management platform for hospitality businesses.
Founded in 2019 by Hristova with Zahari Ivanov and Kati Hristova, Growyze has created a spreadsheet-free software hub for hospitality businesses to manage stock and associated accounting and gross profit.
The London-based startup’s software has been used by the likes of Holiday Inn and Chelsea Arts Club. In total, Growyze has raised over £1m in funding.
In this week’s Founder in Five Q&A, Hristova explains why relationships are the foundation of funding success, reflects on being a hospitality tech startup during Covid-19, and recalls growing up in an ex-communist country with a dog called Democracy.
1. What funding advice would you give to a first-time founder?
Adi Hristova: There’s quite a lot of advice I can offer here. The multi-million dollar tip is to be authentic, open to feedback, and build investor-founder relationships as soon as you establish your startup (or earlier, if possible). Fundraising is a never-ending game, and like in life, in the startup ecosystem, relationships are the foundation of success....
