Britain leads the pack in economic growth

Britain is the fastest growing country in the G7, for the first time since the recession.

The country’s economy grew by 0.8% in the three months to September, beating the US’s 0.7% and Japan’s 0.5%.

My, haven’t you grown

Only Canada is yet to publish and is forecast at 0.6%, which would put Britain at the top of the table for the first time since the recession struck five years ago.

Q3 was also a strong quarter for M&A deal-flow and funding activity in the tech sector.

Clouds lifting?

After growth in the first and second quarters this year, Tech City News reported on how a string of impressive funding deals and a fairly pro-tech government could be the first signs of green shoots.
