London has secured foreign direct investment (FDI) from 100 international tech companies this year to create over 4,380 jobs, new data has shown.
The investments were secured by London & Partners, the growth agency promoting the UK capital, and cement London’s position as the top destination for FDI in Europe and third globally.
It marks a 40% year-on-year increase in the number of jobs created from FDI in a sign that London continues to be an attractive destination for overseas businesses amid a challenging macroeconomic environment.
In addition to the 100 FDI investments secured by London & Partners, 278 companies set up operations in London this year. Among those are Californian cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks and ChatGPT maker OpenAI....
