Newcastle-based manufacturing workforce management startup SQCDP has raised £200,000 in a round led by London’s QVentures.
Founded in 2022, SQCDP supplies companies in the manufacturing industry with software to manage workflows and team members. With the app, users can report shift information and track progress measured against targets.
Company co-founder and CEO Stephen Mitchell said the funding round will “shape our growth and enable us to make decisions in the best interest of the business during our startup journey”.
Mitchell added: “We’re sure that our ambitions are aligned and together we’ll be an unstoppable team.”
Mitchell co-founded the startup after decades in manufacturing for firms including BAE Systems and Coca-Cola.
Alongside QVentures in backing the startup were several angel investors. SQCDP has also received support from the Ignite Accelerator grant.
QVentures principal Harveer Bharaj said: “We’ve already been impressed by the level of execution [SQCDP] demonstrated for existing customers and have seen glowing references from a number of them.
“We look forward to continuing to support SQCDP as they modernise the manufacturing industry.”
The funding came from QVentures’ pre-seed seed enterprise investment fund, which has previously been used to back content creation platform Prospect 100 and interior design platform Portaire.
