UK non-profit tech equality advocacy group OneTech has brought on three new board members, including a former executive from Tech Nation.
Founded in 2018, OneTech is a group aiming to boost inclusivity in the tech industry and amplify underrepresented voices.
The group hosts networking and training opportunities backed by partners such as Google, JPMorgan, UKBlackTech and the Mayor of London.
The group has now brought on Liz Scott, executive director of the Turing Innovation Catalyst and former Tech Nation client engagement director; MB Christie, a board member of MoneySupermarket and Open Banking Ltd; and Ashley Williams, a technology lawyer and partner at Mishcon de Raya.
The three join existing board members and OneTech co-founders Emma Obanye and Alison Partridge.
“We are thrilled to welcome industry heavyweights MB, Elizabeth and Ashley onto the OneTech board,” Obanye said.
“Each of them brings a wealth of experience from across the technology ecosystem, providing a much-needed diversity of thought, perspective and expertise to help steer the OneTech ship.
“The calibre of the board makes them an invaluable asset to our team and their direction will be vital for realising our goals.”
Scott added: “There’s no greater professional experience than working alongside people who share your passion and vision for transforming the tech ecosystem.”
Last September, OneTech supported the launch of Amplify Ventures alongside Capital Enterprise, Foundervine and Startup Discovery School.
The programme, which received a £1.4m government investment, was launched to tackle the funding gap for underserved founders.
