HireAra, a startup building AI candidate presentation-building tools for the recruitment industry, has raised £450,000.

Founded in 2022 as a spinout from automation company DigiBlu, HireAra is looking to use advances in AI technology to drive improvements in recruitment.

The startup works with recruitment agencies to generate CVs and candidate presentations and profiles.

Clients can upload existing documents into the platform, which will then generate CVs and other bespoke materials to present to hiring companies.

“For recruitment agencies, their candidates are their product. So, it’s essential that they present the candidate and their brand in the best light possible,” said HireAra co-founder and CEO Thomas Vose.

“There’s no room for human error in candidate presentation,” Vose added. “HireAra unlocks capacity and resource in recruitment teams, and recruiters using HireAra are placing candidates with unprecedented speed.”

The company has projected more than one million candidates will be presented using HireAra’s technology by the end of 2024.

The investment came from a host of angels from the recruitment industry, including founders from Mecury, SourceWhale, One Up Sales and Candidate.ID.

“The rise of generative AI is sending shockwaves through the recruitment sector,” said HireAra investor and Candidate.ID founder Adam Gordon.

“Agencies that are embracing the potential of this technology to raise standards and improve efficiency are widening their lead on their competitors.”
