Dublin’s global private healthcare marketplace WhatClinic has acquired London’s dental appointment booking platform Toothpick.com.
Emergency Dentech, the umbrella brand of Toothpick.com, has received two undisclosed seed funding rounds since it launched three years ago, counting Passion Capital, EC1 Capital and 1 Seed among its early backers.
Founder and CEO Dr Sandeep Senghera said: “Since we launched Toothpick.com in 2013 we have worked closely with UK dentists to ensure that their spare appointment availability, now totaling over 3 million live appointments slots, automatically published online. This is just the beginning.
“By joining forces with WhatClinic, we are able to open up our easy-to-use booking system to many more patients and clinics, not only in the UK but all over the world. It’s a very exciting step for the Toothpick team.”
