Visualplanet crowned Britain’s best exporter in national competition

Visualplanet has been named Best Exporter in the GREAT Faces of British Business competition.

The competition was launched in November 2014, in association with BT Business, to find the most innovative and exciting UK businesses.

Visualplanet impressed both the national judging panel and the public, with a high number of online votes cast in its favour.

The Cambridge-based firm manufacture touchfoil, which is a large format, clear film touch sensor that turns any non-metallic surface into a tablet-style touch screen.

Visualplanet moved the business forward by supplying the touch sensor as a component to specialist integration partners and their network now spans over 85 different countries.

The judges were impressed by “the simple but incredibly effective solution that Visualplanet has created, and how it has enabled sustainable growth by expanding internationally.”

Vernon Spencer, founder and managing director of Visualplanet, said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have been crowned a national winner of the GREAT Faces of British Business competition.

“Winning this award truly sets us apart from the competition in our field, and we hope we will inspire other small businesses everywhere to foster their success.

“We would strongly recommend any small business owner to visit www.greatbusiness.gov.uk to access the wealth of support and advice available from the government to help your company grow.”
