Jacqueline de Rojas, VP for Northern Europe at software multinational Citrix, who was last week named the most influential woman in UK IT, has been appointed as the first female president of techUK.
De Rojas holds a number of board and advisory positions, serving as non-executive director of Argos owner Home Retail Group, as well as lending her support to the 30% Club, which seeks to get more women on boards.
As deputy president and board champion for women of techUK, a post she held since the body rebranded from Intellect two years ago, De Rojas created a manifesto for women in tech and she says she will continue to campaign on this in her new position.
Julian David, CEO of techUK, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jacqueline to her new role as president of the techUK main board. Her passion and enthusiasm for tech will be of enormous value to techUK and the whole industry.”
