UK deals with corporate venture capital participation reached an all-time high in Q2 of 2016, according to a new report.
The report, produced by CB Insights and titled ‘The H1 2016 Corporate Venture Activity Rising in the UK and India’, found that Qualcomm Ventures was the most active corporate venture capital (CVC) investor in the UK and India.
According to the report, UK deal activity throughout Q2 2016, hit a record of 21 deals, despite funding participation decreasing by 33% on a quarterly basis.
Anand Sanwal, CEO of CB Insights, commented on the findings: “While the deal levels look poor especially relative to the ebullience we saw in Q3 2015, if you look at this quarter’s numbers against a longer timeframe, we’re still at very healthy funding and deal levels....
