Tired of barking the same old commands at your dog? get your phone to do it in ultrasound and give everyone a break
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. But you can download an app that makes him do the old ones at the tap of a button with The DogRemote.
While this is clearly a bit of a gimmick, recording commands to be repeated by your smartphone makes those commands more consistent, and the more consistent the command, the more consistent the behaviour, or so the theory goes.
There is also a silent mode where the command is issued in ultrasound so only your dog can hear it, in case the sound of your own voice gets annoying.

Issue commands in Ultrasound
The app issues the command in both normal audio and ultrasound so that the dog can get used to hearing the commands at a different frequency, so that when you turn the audible sound off, it knows what you want it to do.
Software Developer Phil Teare, maker of the DogRemote, seems to have tried his app out on his own dogs, and he claims they respond to both the audio and the silent mode.
The DogRemote is a bit of fun for dog owners and also appeals to the geek in you that wants to give your dog commands that only he or she can hear. You’ll still have to train your dog, but The DogRemote might give you a helping hand, and hopefully make the process a bit more fun.
