Tech City UK launches new free online courses for entrepreneurs

Having already welcomed 18,000 learners through its virtual doors, Tech City UK has unveiled three new learning programmes for startups and budding entrepreneurs enrolling in its Digital Business Academy.

The latest topics, which bring total free courses on offer to 11, include:

  • How to Track Performance in Early-stage Startups
  • How to Manage Customers
  • How to Use Social Media for Business

Each of the courses comes with video tutorials, additional resources , and real-world startup case studies from the likes of SongkickPact CoffeeStreakIntercomBeer Bods and Wriggle.

Tech City UK CEO, Gerard Grech, said: “With the digital technology sector set to grow by 5.5% by 2020, Digital Business Academy’s enrolment of 18,500 in 10 months demonstrates the continued appetite to build businesses that power the UK digital economy.”

As well as working with UCL and the Cambridge Judge Business School to create some of their other courses, Tech City UK has almost 50 industry partners, including Microsoft Ventures, Ogilvy and the BBC, and says it can help learners secure opportunities within these companies.

Working with Tech City UK can also be a fast-track route into startup loans and free co-working space, which is offered at various places across the country on completion of certain Digital Business Academy courses.
