Tech City UK has announced 15 new members for its Future Fifty programme, including delivery platform Deliveroo and ecommerce solutions provider Yieldify.
Other companies in the new intake of the programme, which supports 50 of the UK’s leading growth-stage digital companies, include crowdfunding venture Crowdcube and mobile gaming company Space Ape Games.
Ecommerce is the dominant focus for this year’s new intake, with a third of the new companies joining the Future Fifty offering ecommerce solutions.
Eileen Burbidge, chair at Tech City UK, said: “The UK is developing a global reputation for world-class digital innovation in sectors such as fintech and e-commerce. In turn, this is attracting increasing investment activity, talent and expertise into the country.”
Of the 15 firms joining the programme, nine are based in London, with the others being based in Brighton, Ricksmanworth, Exeter, Basingstoke and Sheffield.
The amount of declared funding received by the companies to date tops $662.14m (£441.27m).
A number of notable companies have graduated from the Future Fifty programme, including Hailo, Shazam, Made.com and Secret Escapes.
