Law firm Taylor Wessing has launched a free document builder for startups and entrepreneurs that are seeking seed investment.
The platform, housed within the company’s Tech Focus early stage advice microsite, enables new companies to quickly build non-binding term sheets in order for them to start raising capital.
Taylor Wessing believes it was the first non-local law firm to set up a dedicated Tech City office, which happened back in 2012, offering fixed-fee legal services to startups working in the area.
“This development will enable entrepreneurs to save time and money when looking to raise capital, and will also provide guidance as to the terms typically seen in seed funding rounds,” said Simon Walker, partner at Taylor Wessing. “Three years ago, we made freely available a suite of seed investment documents – the provision of a document builder for term sheets is a natural extension of that facility.”
In January, Taylor Wessing launched the Tech Focus 100 – a members’ community aimed at connecting UK tech companies with investors and corporates from around the world.
