Crowd Connected has announced the closure of an undisclosed seed funding round, bringing its total raised to over $1m.
The company, which drew support from a series of UK-based angel investors, says it will use the money to enhance its product functionality and grow its team.
Based in Surrey, Crowd Connected has developed location intelligence technology which stores and analyses aggregated data using signals from wearable devices, mobile phones and other connected hardware.
James Cobb, the founder and CEO, commented on the raise: “Our strategy is to develop the leading proprietary location intelligence platform that addresses business needs across multiple market segments, starting with live events.
“This latest round of funding enables us to accelerate the roll-out of our technology to deliver genuinely new services to our customers,” he added.
The company’s original shareholders also participated in the round.
