London-based startup Proversity is visiting New York as part of an EdTech market visit to the US.
The firm, which recently closed a $1.6m seed investment round, will be meeting with policy-makers, businesses and the New York Department of Education in order to assess the market in advance of possible expansion.
Zairah Khurshid, marketing and business development manager at Proversity, said: “There is huge opportunity for growth of our business as New York is where the US is seeing the most education-focused digital innovation.
“As a business, Proversity aims to take full advantage of this market visit in order to scale internationally to perpetuate our mission to fill the skills gap with companies across industries.”
Headquartered in London Proversity works with companies across a number of industries to bridge the skills gap between education and the workplace.
The company has successfully developed ‘digital universities’ built by employers with the Bank of England, the Royal Artillery and Network Rail.
