Playstation and Creative England launch gaming accelerator

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will be working with Creative England to launch GamesLab Campus, a new incubator and accelerator programme.

The programme will initially support five games companies, splitting £250,000 equally between them.

They will also support the companies as they develop “new and innovative entertainment experiences on PlayStation3, PlayStation4 and PlayStation Vita.”

The benefits

GamesLab Campus will be open to applications from late July/early August 2014 to all game developers located in eligible English Regions.

The five successful businesses will take part in legal and financial workshop as well as GamesLab mentors and access to PlayStation development kits.

Agostino Simonetta, Senior Account Manager of Publisher & Developer Relations at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, added:

We are delighted to work with Creative England on this program.

We believe this to be a great partnership and an opportunity to illustrate our continuous support and commitment to the independent development community.
