Play Hundreds of Real-World Games with the Tiny Games App

Can you get your hands on some cutlery? Tiny Games suggests games to play using the things around you

Hide&Seek are trying to raise £25,000 on Kickstarter for their real-world games app Tiny Games.

Tell the app where you are and what you have lying around, and Tiny Games devises wacky, competitive games to play with friends. The app will even cater to different personality types and moods.

Hide&Seek are a design studio who specialise in putting on events to get the public playing games, and their app is a digital adaptation of their street-games project 99 Tiny Games.

Real-Life Games

“Tiny Games is about putting everything we know about making great social games for people to play in real life into a smartphone app,” Alex Fleetwood, founder of Hide&Seek, told Tech City News. “We’ve produced hundreds of events over the last five years and now we’re taking it to a new level.”

The app will include chasing games, people-watching games, word games, creative games, shopping games, strategic games, storytelling games and more according to their Kickstarter project page.

Hide&Seek are drawing on their successes of putting on events including a game for 12,000 players in Edinburgh on New Year’s Day and a festival at the Southbank Centre, and distilling their fun loving expertise into an iPhone app. They’re giving away tons of gaming related goodies in exchange for pledges, and there’s even an opportunity to get involved in some game design for Tiny Games.
