Party Hype, a mobile platform that seeks to match partygoers with relevant events in real-time, has secured £500,000 in Seed funding from boutique investment firm Delarki.
The app works by enabling users to broadcast content and allowing them to connect via its dating feature.
Brands and venues are then able to capture live market research data generated by users and use it to curate promotional strategies.
Founded by siblings Anna Frankowska and Andrzej Frankowski and initially focused on London’s nightlife scene, Party Hype will use the funds to recruit and build on its marketing efforts.
Speaking about the funding, Frankowska said: “The UK nightlife economy is worth £66bn per year but it is in decline. There is an increasing disconnection felt by city dwellers, and this division of the leisure sector is long overdue a tech revolution.”
“We enable partygoers to find the best party on a particular night – as defined by their peers on the app,” she added.
The app is expected to launch in additional cities in the UK throughout 2017.
