Family banking tool goHenry has appointed Alex Zivoder former EMEA MD of lynda.com as its new CEO.
In addition the firm has further strengthened its board with the appointment of David Roche, former president of Hotels.com, as executive chairman.
These appointments come hot on the heels of a record breaking quarter for goHenry with tens of thousands of parents signing up to use the service in the first half of 2015.
Roche has been an investor and advisor to goHenry for some time, and will now take an active role as Executive Chairman. He is known for his high-profile role as president of Hotels.com, a business he led to become the second largest accommodation website in the world with multi-billion-dollar sales.
Zivoder is known for expanding companies in different markets and played an integral role in establishing lynda.com in EMEA markets, which significantly strengthened the company’s offering ahead of the acquisition by LinkedIn.
Roche said: “goHenry helps solve one of the greatest problems facing parents and children today – how to enable children to spend safely in the increasingly cashless and digital world.
“Solving this pervasive problem, while educating our children about how to earn, save, spend and manage money responsibly, is hugely attractive to me, both as a parent and as an executive.”
And Zivoder added: “goHenry’s rapid growth within the UK, and the extensive interest we’ve received from markets outside the UK, indicate that goHenry addresses a widespread and global market need.
“goHenry is the leader in this emerging category in the UK, and I look forward to working with David, Richard and the team to capitalise on that leadership in product and in market development.”
