Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, consumers across the globe are recognising the potential of e-scooters as a safe, convenient, and socially-distanced transport option. With riders increasingly concerned with social distancing, e-scooter use has since been on the rise especially, in the UK.
Neuron launched in Slough with 250 e-scooters
Right now, a lot of e-scooter companies are deploying their fleet across the UK and Neuron Mobility is one of them. A few weeks back, Neuron Mobility launched its rental trial in Slough in partnership with Slough Borough Council, with 250 bright orange vehicles across the town.
Free monthly pass for NHS and Emergency Services workers
The e-scooter operator announced that from November 5 (today), it will be providing a new free monthly pass to support Slough’s National Health Service (NHS) and Emergency Services workers to help get them where they are needed most.
The initiative has been launched to coincide with the new national lockdown in England, to help support the town’s wider efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Zachary Wang, CEO of Neuron Mobility said: “We want to show our sincere gratitude to Slough’s NHS and Emergency Services staff as they continue to travel to work every day to care for people, while many of us have the option to work from home.” He continued: “During these difficult times we remain even more focused on providing a safe and efficient transport option for those people that absolutely must travel, including those on the frontline in the NHS, and Emergency Services.”
How to register?
According to the company, NHS and Emergency Services workers will be able to activate the free monthly pass easily through Neuron’s app, available on both App Store or Google Play.
To register their free monthly pass, they should visit the Rates & Passes page and verify their work email address to redeem their free or discounted Monthly Pass. Then a Neuron e-scooter can be unlocked and ridden straight away.
Precautionary measures, reminder to sanitise, and more
As a precautionary measure, Neuron has implemented a range of cutting-edge antiviral measures to protect riders. Further, the app has an integrated reminder for riders to sanitise their hands after completing a journey, and every trip is logged so which can help with contact tracing if required.
