The man behind discount shopping site MyVoucherCodes is inviting investment into an Enterprise Investment Scheme fund focused on the ecommerce market.
Mark Pearson sold Markco Media, which included MyVoucherCodes, to mobile marketing firm Monitise last year for £55m, and has already invested in 10 other ecommerce ventures.
The Fuel.Ventures EIS fund will offer inception and incubation, seed and Series A funding to high-growth transactional startups working in any sector.
Pearson, cofounder of Fuel.Ventures, said: “The e-commerce sector is booming and Fuel.Ventures will be investing in the most ambitious and scalable opportunities. Increased ecommerce user adoption, the proliferation of mobile handsets and tablets and the opportunities opened up by 4G have created huge potential for investors with the right investment approach and exclusive access to the highest quality deals.”
