Madtech startups to pitch for $50,000 Unilever pilot at ad:tech next week

Following an appeal from brands and agencies looking for more innovation, 15 top madtech startups from across the world have now been chosen to compete in The Next Big Thing competition to pitch for a $50,000 Unilever pilot.

The competition saw more than 120 entries and the chosen finalists range from AI tools to programmatic ad platforms, competitor monitoring software to smart digital signage. The final will take place during ad:tech London next week.

The shortlist was judged by Philippa Snare, CMO at Microsoft, Mark Evans, MD of Direct Line, and Jeremy Basset, head of the Unilever Foundry, the corporate giant’s innovation arm.

Previous winner Avocarrot, a native mobile ad company, was helped by Unilever to launch in the US and is rolling out further pilots in 10 global markets.
