Secured £5.5M funding
Recently, the ‘BrainTech’ startup has raised a £5.5 million Series A funding round from VC firm OMERS Ventures. Other investors including Manta Ray Ventures, Oxford Capital Partners, and 2EnablePartners also participated. To date, the company raised £8.1M in funding.
How will the funding be used?
The UK company will use the investment to grow HelloSelf’s @Work service. The HelloSelf’s B2B proposition will help organisations of all sizes in the UK to provide tailored ‘needs-based’ mental health support services to their employees, through in-person and digital coaching, clinical treatment, and wellness plans.
Online therapy and psychological coaching service
Founded in 2018 by Charlie Wells (former COO of online donation platform JustGiving), HelloSelf is an online therapy and psychological coaching service with AI-enhanced video sessions with the nation’s leading clinical psychologists.
At present, the company has a team of over 150 clinical psychologists, engineers, and developers, and provides coaching and treatment to over 1,500 members. As per the company, the team applies clinically informed skills and knowledge to provide early intervention, prevention, skills training, and treatment to its users.
Served 15X more people
Furthermore, HelloSelf uses data, outcomes, and feedback to personalise treatment plans and the service it provides. During the second lockdown, the company served 15X more people with online therapy and psychological coaching in Feb 2021 than the previous year.
