Last call for #cleantech crowdfund accelerator with £5,000 prize

The UK Crowdfunding Association, in conjunction with the Westminster Impact Hub coworking space, has put out a last call for cleantech entrepreneurs to join a free, three-day accelerator programme designed to help them raise crowdfunded cash.

The accelerator will take place from 23 to 25 November and features the founding chair of the UKCFA Julia Groves, plus the CEOs of three of the UK’s leading crowdfunding platforms.

The programme will help answer questions such as: How do I value my business? What is the best form of crowdfunding for me? How do I choose a platform? What are the secrets of success? What are the common pitfalls and how do I avoid them?

One startup will be picked to receive a £5,000 prize, picked on the last day by an expert panel, while others can get their hands on free UKCFA mentoring, a membership to Impact Hub Westminster, along with PR, marketing and pitch training opportunities.

The first cohort, graduating earlier in the year, have gone on to raise £500,000 between them, with 89% succeeding in raising money compared to an industry average of around 35%.

The programme is backed by the EU and will welcome up to 12 cleantech startups onto the course later this month.

Apply here before 12am tonight.
