‘match.com for jobseekers’ jobandtalent launches iOS recruitment app
Jobseeker service jobandtalent has launched its iOS app for recruitment on the go.
Following a $3.3m (£2m) funding round earlier this year, the website service can now send job opportunity updates straight to your pocket.
When push comes to shove
Rather than just letting users search through job listings, the website sends them notifications when relevant opportunities appear online.
The app takes it one step further, allowing users to receive push notifications immediately wherever they are.
Cupid-style recruitment
What really sets jobandtalent apart from other recruitment sites is that it lets you take advantage of your social network when looking for jobs.
60% of professionals report to have found work through a friend – jobandtalent applies this model to the recruitment industry.
Elevator Pitch
jobandtalent were part of Tech City News‘ The Elevator Pitch II, and co-founder Juan Urdiales [pictured above] recorded their video pitch in the Google CampusCam for our competition:
The company was founded in Madrid, but is increasingly based out of London.
Levelling the playing field
The immediacy and flexibility of the app – plus the crucial connection to social networks – makes it a much-needed aid to getting young people into work.
It also helps level the playing field of job-hunting by allowing jobseekers the chance to get recommended with or without family and friends in high places.
