Toucan Ventures, the mentoring and support platform for startups and entrepreneurs, has raised £700,000 in a private fundraise.
Founded in 2014, the platform enables members to sign up to pitch their ideas and connect with mentors, partners and investors.
Rasha Khawaja, founder and CEO of Toucan, commented: “Today’s fundraise is a phenomenal endorsement for Toucan and mark of what we have achieved to date.
“It will enable us to accelerate the expansion of our core team and increase our bandwidth so that we will be able to support a greater number of startups, and consolidate our position as the leading network for entrepreneurs,” she continued.
Existing mentors on the platform include Richard Reed (co-founder of Innocent Drinks) and Ali Parsa (founder and CEO of Babylon).
