Peer-to-peer lender Assetz Capital has raised more than £3m from 731 investors on Seedrs, the second largest campaign hosted by the Seedrs platform to date.
Assetz Capital provides non-bank loans to small and medium sized enterprises and property developers in the UK, and is run by professional bankers.
Seedrs has now raised more than £4.5m in equity-based funding for crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending platforms including Trillion Fund, Landbay, CrowdLords, CrowdCanDo and PledgeSports, funding 110 deals in 2014 alone.
“We chose Seedrs for our crowdfunding round because we know it to be the most professional and respected platform in the equity space,” said Stuart Law, cofounder and chief executive of Assetz Capital. “Its size and reach were important factors, but so was its focus on helping investee companies grow while protecting investor rights. We were thrilled with the outcome of our campaign and fully understand why Seedrs is the equity platform that other crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending platforms choose.”
Seedrs investors can put in as little as €10 and all investments offer voting shares. It plans to launch in the US later in 2015.
