Madtech Artesian Solutions secures $8m Series B round

Madtech B2B sales platform Artesian Solutions has secured an $8m Series B round led by London’s Octopus Investments, along with Kreos Capital.

Artesian, founded in 2006, says it is celebrating reaching the 25,000 customer mark, which includes the likes of American Express, Adobe, Barclays, HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, Towergate, Willis and Verizon.

It will use the money to grow in the UK and into new territories, as well as creating new mobile and social apps for its users.

This is the second round of funding Artesian has received from Octopus, with a Series A round of £2m secured back in 2012.

Luke Hakes, principal at Octopus Investments, said: “We are delighted to continue to support Artesian along its accelerating growth and expansion trajectory. The company continues to be at the forefront of both thought leadership and innovation in the social intelligence space for B2B sales people, and we are very excited about how this success will be translated across new territories and platforms.”

Madtech verteran Rod Banner, who founded Banner Corporation in 1984 and sold it to WPP, has also joined the company’s board.

Artesian’s head office is in Reading, with a satellite office in London.
