Tech platform Pusher has received $2.5m in funding from alternative growth capital provider SaaS Capital.

The firm, which provides tools to mobile developers to make it easier to build apps with live content, has also moved to a new office in Old Street.

Max Williams, founder and CEO of Pusher, said: “We see an opportunity to empower developers to build more with less code by expanding on our vision of a platform of APIs for building connected apps.”

Based in London since 2011, Pusher is also backed by Eileen Burbidge, of Passion Capital; Bill Lee (Tesla, SpaceX, Yammer, HootSuite) and the founders of Heroku.

Pusher also claims to have doubled its team in the last year, with hopes to grow further in the near future.

“This capital will accelerate our growth,” Williams concluded.

This investment follows the company’s closure of a $1m seed round in June 2011.
