Live Better With, a curated healthcare platform which seeks to improve the daily lives of cancer patients, has closed a $2m late seed funding round.

The round, led by VC firm Fig, also drew support from Downing Ventures, Forward Partners, the London Co Investment Fund and a number of angel investors.

Tamara Rajah, founder and CEO of Live Better With, spoke about the raise: “We are hugely excited about the scope of what we can offer to cancer patients around the world to make their day-to-day life a little bit better, and to help bring together the non-medical side of cancer care. This investment will help us reach more people living with cancer as soon as possible.”

James King, founder of VC firm Fig, commented on his firm’s involvement in the raise: “Tamara’s vision, humility and drive have led to the creation of both an exciting and important business, Live Better With.

“Fig has every confidence in the business, having led a round that combines angel investors who’ve extensive market experience with Forward’s industry expertise, alongside our, Downing and LCIF’s capital. We are looking forward to helping however we can to see the company develop so it can provide much needed to support to people around the world,” added King.

Currently serving thousands of patients in the UK and the US, a statement said the money will be used to expand the company’s services across the world.

Nic Brisbourne, founding partner at Forward Partners, commented: “We’re incredibly pleased to further invest in Tamara and her talented team at Live Better With. This fundraise underlines the huge future growth potential of Live Better With in global markets and Tamara’s skill as an entrepreneur.”
