Invenias raises $2m for executive recruitment

Recruitment software provider Invenias has raised $2m from MMC Ventures. The investment will be used in part to open the London-based startup’s first US office in San Francisco.

Invenias provides cloud-based software that specialises in executive recruitment.

The software integrates web and social platforms completely with Outlook to make the whole recruitment as effortless and efficient as possible. For example, candidates’ LinkedIn profiles can be pulled into Outlook for easy viewing.

Follow-on investment

It is the second investment in 2014 for the startup and brings the startup’s total investment raised to $4m.

“It’s been a significant year for the team at Invenias – from growing the business to more than 600 customers and thousands of users, and further extending the product,” said David Grundy, cofounder and CEO of Invenias.

Invenias chairman Mark Farmer added:

The investment will help us address the strong demand for Invenias in the US market, starting with the opening of a new office in San Francisco in early 2015, and allows us to grow our product and engineering ability to further support the innovation planned in our product road map.

Growing customer base

The startup says it has acquired over 200 new customers in 2014 from all over the globe. It has strong roots in London but is also used by US, South American and Australian businesses.

It also currently counts Palo Alto-based Tesla motors as one of its customers.
