Following Hassle’s $6m investment

Housekeep are not the only ones taking on the house-cleaning market. The multi-billion dollar marketplace for booking services for the home is fast becoming one of the most competitive areas of tech.

Two weeks ago, Hassle.com, the London-based bookings site for home cleaning, raised a $6m funding round led by Accel Partners, one of the first backers of FacebookHomeJoy, a competitor from the Silicon Valley, have raised $40m dollars to date and joined the increasingly competitive London market.

Housekeep hope they can differentiate themselves in the market. They explain:

Unlike competing platforms, which act as an introductory service between cleaners and customers, Housekeep provide a fully-managed service to ensure that the experience is quick and easy for customers.

This is an area in tech which is rapidly heating up and it will be very interesting to see who comes out on top. Housekeep currently only operate in London, but have plans to expand their service into other home services.
