Social ad platform Glow Digital Media have raised $7m in Series A funding from Notion Capital and White Star Capital.
The London-based platform is used by some of the world’s largest mobile advertisers. It will be using the funds to fuel both the company’s product as well as its reach.
Project A and Avonmore Developments, who had both previously invested in Glow, also participated in the round.
Elevator Pitch graduate
Glow took part in the first round of Tech City News‘s Elevator Pitch series which saw companies pitch as they dropped 30 floors in 30 seconds in an elevator.
It uses proprietary and social data to help brands find and engage with relevant and profitable customers on both Facebook and Twitter.
The platform has been used by the likes of King and Spotify and is both a Facebook Strategic Preferred Marketing Developer and a Twitter Marketing Platform Partner.
Mobile advertising is a competitive market though and Glow are not the only company to hold both titles. Others include Adobe, AdParlor, Brand Networks, and Salesforce.
‘Real Life Experience’
CEO and cofounder Damian Routley said he was “incredibly excited about what the future will bring for Glow and its customers”.
The team at Notion founded and scaled MessageLabs and exited for $700m, and Christian Hernandez at White Star, helped incubate Google’s international mobile efforts and scaled out Facebook’s business across EMEA.
I couldn’t think of two better placed partners to have round the table.
In August, Damian will be featuring in a Tech City News video documenting British startups making in big in New York. Make sure you keep an eye out for it.
