Festicket raises $2.7m to bring you better festivals

Music travel booking company Festicket has raised a $2.7m Series A funding round, following on from a $680k round in 2013.

The London-based booking platform lets music fans book travel packages for over 200 music festivals worldwide.

The investment was led by Wellington Partners and PROfounders Capital and saw return seed investors, Windcrest Partners, Playfair Capital, KIMA Ventures and Jacques-Antoine Granjon also participate.

Simplifying festivals

Festicket, founded by Zack Sabban and Jonathan Younes, works with festival organisers and packages tickets, travel and accommodation to simplify the festival going experience.

The company now boasts over 300,000 users and plans to use the investment to expand internationally and increase the size of its team.

It is now working on partnerships with some of the world’s largest travel companies to increase the attractiveness of its products to new and existing users.

International Hall of Fame finalists

In June, Sabban and Younes were nominated in the Ones to Watch category in the Tech City News International Hall of Fame

The two are just a number of migrant entrepreneurs who have built tech businesses in London.

Sabban says that the company is “extremely enthusiastic” to bring on the new investors.

They are all serial entrepreneurs with clear value and experience in building global internet businesses.

They will help us achieve our mission of becoming the world-leading travel platform for music fans.
