FinTech startup Money Dashboard has raised £1.3m via crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.

The Edinburgh-based firm runs a personal finance app that enables users to view all their bank accounts in one place. The app tracks transactions and groups them into categories so it is easy for users to see where exactly their money is going each month.

Money Dashboard set out to raise £1m on Crowdcube, but exceeded this goal raising a total of £1,331,810 from over 1,700 investors.

The company, which was founded in 2010, gave up 9.55% equity in return for the investment, having advertised a pre-money valuation of £12.6m.

Based in startup incubator Codebase, Money Dashboard claims to have over 130,000 users and employs 18 people, but is looking to expand its team using this new investment.

Steve Tigar, CEO at Money Dashboard, said: “We’re thrilled that so many people have decided to invest in our next phase of growth. It’s fantastic to have had such strong support from our growing community of users.

“With Open Banking just around the corner, we’re ready to cement our place at the forefront of UK FinTech, serving millions of consumers across the country.”
