Health tech startup Brain in Hand has raised £200k to help support more people across the UK.
The Exeter-based company helps people with neurological diseases achieve goals and facilitates higher levels of independence.
£150k of the investment comes from The Solent Growth Hub with the remainder from Clearly Social Angels.
Help in all situations
Brain in Hand was founded by Andrew Stamp, whose younger son has autism. The website and app links vulnerable individuals with carers and professional organisations that support them.
He teamed up with Dr Tony Brown, a clinical psychologist, to develop the system because he was frustrated with the quality of available services.
The app allows people to plan their day and manage their anxiety in unexpected situations.
It can also help users through a number of day-to-day situations where they might become anxious, offering tips, advice and support along the way.
The future of support?
The service costs £16.50 per month for individual users. It also offer quotes for larger organisations wanting to help groups.
