Lifecake, a platform for privately sharing photos and videos with your family, has raised $1.1 million (£700,000) in a seed funding round led by Balderton Capital.
Lifecake creates a personalised, secure, ad-free space for families to share photos and videos.
The content is displayed in a timeline with the most engaging moments highlighted – users can then view content and leave comments via computers, tablets or smartphones.
Well-sourced ingredients
The company was founded in July 2012 by four tech veterans, including:
- Nicholas Babaian, former head of Skype’s mobile product team
- Matthew Sheppard, former mobile platform builder for Qualcomm and Yahoo!
