A women’s wearable that monitors and improves pelvic floor fitness has won the R&D category of Axa’s Health Tech & You Awards.
UK technology startup Chiaro unveiled Elvie last year as an insertable, sensor-packed wearable device that works with an app to help women keep bladder problems at bay and improve the strength of their vagina as they move into older age.
The awards, hosted in conjunction with the wellbeing think tank 2020health, recognise the best in personal healthcare innovations.
The overall winner was babylon, which gives users a direct line on any mobile device to a live video chat with a doctor.
All the winning healthtech products are on display at the Design Museum until 26 April.
