Huddle Creative, which looks to tackle up to 70% of waste in Unilever’s supply chain, has been named the winner of the annual ReHack
The Shoreditch based startup hopes to engage families and housemates by using gamification to save energy.
Joe Comiskey from Unilever said: “We’re thrilled to have found such an exciting and relevant project to grow over the next few months.
“ReHack showed some of the finest talent that the UK startup scene has to offer, and with such a range of big ideas for initiatives inspired by sustainability, we’ve seen a lot of potential from several other groups that we will be pursuing off the back of the event.”
Unilever will work with Huddle to grow the initiative using their expertise and capabilities to help the team bring their idea to life and fulfil all the promise of their ReHack pitch.
ReHack aimed to make eCommerce a force for good by making it more sustainable in the areas of improving health and wellbeing, reducing environmental impact and enhancing livelihoods the hackathon took place on June 25-26.
