Today is Earth day, which means that we take note of this blue hunk of rock, which is the only planet in our solar system capable of sustaining life. It falls upon us to reduce our carbon emissions to stop or hopefully, reverse global warming. The European green shared mobility startup Go Sharing has chosen this day to announce a £43.16 million (€50 million approx.) investment round.

The latest funding round for Netherlands-based Go Sharing was led by US-based investment company Opportunity Partners. GO Sharing founders also invested in the startup, while existing shareholder Rabo Corporate Investments supported the funding round and the new shareholder’s arrival.
The fresh funds will be used by the company to expand its services by adding e-bikes and electric cars alongside the electric mopeds that it currently offers. Furthermore, the startup will also accelerate its international expansion to offer its services in new regions such as the UK, Germany and Turkey.
