Global Tech Alliance agrees to pay all backdated tax

Following significant public pressure, the body representing the world’s largest technology companies has revealed that its members have agreed to pay all future and backdated tax to individual governments.

The agreement looks set to bring in trillions for schools, hospitals and transport systems across the world.

Richard Rich, representing the GTA, said:

“Yeah, you got us. Our members have had fun finding the loopholes but we realise this isn’t really in the spirit of tax so they’ve agreed to pay it all, in full.
Obviously, this means less money for shareholders, but they’ve got loads already, so they’ll be alright.”

The GTA does not make public the list of its members.
