George Osborne’s brother launches tech fund

Theo Osborne, the younger brother of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, is planning to launch an investment fund targeting tech start-ups.

The 29-year old is the youngest of the four Osborne brothers and runs Parnassus Luxury Travel, a company that arranges exclusive holidays for ‘Ultra High Net Worth Individuals’.

He hopes to capitalise on the “co-working revolution” that is taking place in London.

The fund, called Force Over Mass LLP, will be an accelerator fund typically investing in early stage business with high growth. It is expected to be launched “in a couple of months”.

Force Over Mass has been co-founded with Martijn De Wever, a former credit trader at HSBC.

Find them, fund them, mentor them

Announcing the fund, Osborne told the Evening Standard:

There’s been a big exodus from Silicon Valley, especially for tech start-ups, which are coming to London. There’s a real co-working revolution going on here

He hopes the fund will be a “bridge between tech and finance” with the mantra: “Find them, fund them, then mentor them”.
