Former Techstars MD Jon Bradford joins board at Central Working

The former Techstars MD Jon Bradford has joined Central Working’s board as a NonExecutive Director.

Bradford’s role at Central Working will be to advise on the future direction of its growing brand and drive key relationships. Central Working currently have four workspace clubs in London and have recently expanded their Manchester club.

Bradford’s career leading accelerators actually began in the north as CEO of The Difference Engine in 2009, he then co-founded Springboard in Cambridge. The Springboard accelerator took up a residency at Campus London, Google’s tech startup community building in Shoreditch and subsequently Bradford convinced American startup accelerator Techstars that they should join forces to expand in the UK. Bradford is also a cofounder of F6S, one of the world’s largest online community of entrepreneurs, and a cofounder of tech.eu.

Bradford gained a reputation as a key player in the London tech scene after launching Techstars London expansion in 2013 and competing with the likes of Seedcamp. As managing director, Bradford oversaw Techstars London’s growth into a renowned accelerator programme, mentoring fledging companies and matching them to potential investors for an injection of launch capital.

James Layfield, CEO of Central Working, said:

At Central Working we pride ourselves on the unrivalled support we provide our members and the experience that Jon brings will be invaluable in delivering growth for them. He knows what it takes to help businesses thrive, not just during the launch phase but throughout the entrepreneur life cycle, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the Central Working board.”

Jon Bradford, NonExecutive Director of Central Working, said:

I know how important it is for modern entrepreneurs to find a nurturing environment which gives them the confidence and connections to grow. Accelerators can be incredibly valuable, but there’s no quick fix for continued growth and maintaining success requires long-term support.”

The way we work has changed yet very few spaces in our cities have. Central Working continues to pioneer in this area and has understood perfectly this shift, providing their members with growth rather than just a desk and Wi-Fi. They’re leading the way in delivering today’s supportive workspaces for tomorrow’s entrepreneurial success stories.
