Garrison Technology Limited has announced the closure of a £12m Series A round led by Touchstone Innovations, which contributed £3.85m.

Other participants in the round included BGF Ventures, NM Capital as well as the firm’s existing angel investors.

The London-based cybersecurity firm, which seeks to serve the growing enterprise market with its anti-malware product, has raised £16m to date.

Garrison said the new funds will allow it to speed up product development and expand its team before launching.

Jon Edington, director technology ventures at Touchstone Innovations, commented on the news: “Almost daily we read how major enterprises and governments are suffering from targeted and high-impact cyber-crime.

“Garrison’s solution directly addresses this problem with an innovative and differentiated technology that has been shown to effectively remove whole classes of cyber threat,” Edington continued.

With this investment, Touchstone Innovations – which invests in tech companies based around the ‘Golden Triangle’ broadly bounded by London, Cambridge and Oxford – holds a 22.5% stake in the company.
