London FinTech firm Curve has welcomed a new head of operations as its co-founder and former operations lead Tom Foster-Carter heads to challenger bank Monzo.
Rona Ruthen is the new head of operations at Curve, which announced a $10m (£7.7m) Series A funding round last month.
A spokesperson from Curve said: “Curve co-founders Shachar Bialick and Tom Foster-Carter parted ways amicably around a month ago, with Bialick staying on as CEO and Rona Ruthen being promoted to head of operations.”
Ruthen previously held the roles of payments operations manager at Payoneer and payments manager at Fiverr.
Ruthen said she is looking forward to leading operations at the business as it scales up. She aims to “make sure Curve’s growing customer base continues to enjoy simplicity, security and top class customer service, no matter how quickly we grow”.
“We wish Tom all the best in the new role, and look forward to seeing Monzo’s continued growth alongside Curve and other startups building an exciting new world of banking and money management,” she concluded.
TechCrunch reported Tom Foster-Carter is to take up the role of COO at Monzo as of Monday.
In February, London-based Monzo announced a £19.5m Series B round from venture capital firms Thrive Capital, Passion Capital and Orange Digital Ventures.
