Careers marketplace Jobbio secures €5m to accelerate expansion

Careers platform Jobbio has closed a €5m Series A funding round led by NJF Capital.

Other investors include Balderton Capital founder Barry Maloney, the Smurfit family of the Smurfit-Kappa group and chairman of the Grafton Group, Michael Chadwick.

The firm says it will use the funds to accelerate growth across its Dublin, London and New York bases, and plans to expand to Canada at the end of the month.

Over 3,000 companies are active on the Jobbio marketplace, including Ryanair, eBay, Airbnb and Uber. Jobbio plans to double its UK and international workforce within the next 12 months.

Nicole Junkermann founder and partner at NJF Capital, commented: “We invest in internationally scalable tech companies; It’s our business. Jobbio is now one of these. We are impressed, in equal measure, by the Jobbio platform that connects talent with employers in a fresh way and with the talented management team running the business. We look forward to helping the team further scale their international expansion in the UK, US and Europe.”
