Buddybounce raises Angel Acadame’s first seed round

Music engagement tool Buddybounce has raised its first seed round.

It makes the startup the very first investment of pro-female angel network Angel Acadame.

The amount of money raised is not being disclosed.

Buddybounce

Buddybounce is a tool for artists to identify their super-fans, understand who they are as individuals and engage with them in new ways.

It gamifies the fan experience, giving fans points and badges for the support of their idols across social media platforms.

Since launching in April last year they’ve gained 25,000 registered users and given away over 150 prizes to fans such as Meet & Greets, Skype calls, signed merchandise and gig tickets.

Buddybounce got through to round two of the Tech City News Elevator Pitch back in January 2013.

emmaCo-founder Emma Obanye says fans gain visibility and status and a chance to be noticed.

All their content is also pulled in across these platforms, aggregating everything into one place for other fans to consume.

Angel Academe

This is the first investment by Angel Academe, a network for professional women who want to support tech entrepreneurs.

Member can act as mentors, non-execs or angel investors, and are especially encouraged to support women-founded tech businesses.

Lead investor Hannah O’Shaunessy will be joining the Buddybounce board and taking a hands-on role in the business.
