6 UK-based firms join UKTI FinTech trade delegation to US

San Francisco

Some six UK-based companies have joined the latest UKTI FinTech trade delegation to the US.

Neyber, Azimo, Eris Industries, Venture Founders, Currency Cloud and Crypta Labs will travel to San Francisco to showcase the ‘Best of British’ in FinTech in an attempt to learn about innovation and best practice from their counterparts in the US.

Neyber, co-founder and chief executive officer, Martin Ijaha, commented: “We are looking forward to learning from our counterparts across the pond to see what we can bring to the Neyber proposition and therefore the UK workforce.

“We see technology as a great enabler to transform and achieve our goals of increasing work place wellbeing and by default productivity in the work place,” added Ijaha.

James Codling, co-founder of VentureFounders spoke about his company’s participation in the delegation.

He said: “Being selected to be part of the UKTI trade mission to San Francisco is fantastic. The FinTech community, which is where VentureFounders plays, is very established in San Francisco and the VCs based here are some of the most well respected in the FinTech space.

“Opening up conversations with these institutions gives us the opportunity to not only learn from this mature market, but also showcase the talent in the UK tech startup scene and how FinTech is helping it thrive. There is a real buzz of entrepreneurialism throughout the city, it reminds me of the tech hubs of London, Manchester and Cambridge in the UK,” he added.
